Hamid pays homage to Ho

President Md Abdul Hamid has paid homage to Ho Chi Minh during his visit to Vietnam. He placed floral wreaths at the mausoleum of the country’s legendary revolutionary leader at 4.50pm (local time). After placing the wreaths, the president stood in solemn silence in reverence to the great leader. He also visited the museum inside the mausoleum and went round different parts of it. Later, he signed the visitor's book. Earlier, a smartly turned out contingent of the armed forces welcomed Hamid with playing patriotic song on the arrival of thethe Bangladesh president at the venue. The president also placed wreaths at the monument of Vietnam national heroes and martyrs to pay homage to them. In an invitation of Vietnam President Tr??ng T?n Sang, the Bangladesh president is visiting the Southeast Asian country. Wife Rashida Khanam and other family members are also accompanying the president. Abdul Hamid will meet his Vietnam counterpart on Monday. He will also attend a dinner to be hosted by Sang in the visiting president’s honour, according to a news agency.
