Hannan Shah freed

BNP leader Brigadier General (Retd) ASM Hannan Shah was released from Kashimpur jail in Gazipur on Wednesday morning. Hannan Shah secured bail from the High Court in five cases filed last year with Motijheel Police Station for killing a cop, arson attacks and vandalism. After scrutinising documents sent from the High Court, the jail authorities set the BNP standing committee member free at about 10:15am. Hannan Shah is accused in another vandalism case filed with Banani Police Station but he was not shown arrested in this case yet, according to a news agency.
