Hartal underway peacefully in Natore

A daylong hartal, enforced by Natore district unit of BNP protesting “vote rigging” during the 2nd phase of upazila elections, is progressing peacefully in the northern on Sunday. Jatiyatabadi Swechhasebok Dal, BNP’s voluntary wing, brought out a procession in support of the shutdown in Tebaria and Half Raasta of Natore town in the morning. Super markets, roadside shop and educational institutions remained closed and no long-route bus left or entered the district town. No untoward incident was reported till filing of this report at 11 am, according to UNB.
