Hartals observed in 3 upazilas

The half-day hartals (shutdown), called by the local units of BNP and its allies, have been observed peacefully in three upazilas of Khulna on Monday. Local units of the BNP and other components of the 19-party alliance led by it, called the 6:00am-12:00pm shutdown for Monday in protest against vote fraud, occupation of polling centre and other irregularities during Sunday’s Upazila Parishad elections, according to a news agency, according to a news agency.
