Monday, 17 November 2014

Awami League publicity and publication secretary Dr Hasan Mahmud urged on Sunday the leaders of Doctors Association of Bangladesh (DAB) to examine the mental fitness of BNP Leaders, reports UNB.
"BNP leaders are talking like dementia patients. I would like to tell DAB leaders to examine the mental fitness of BNP leaders," he said.  Hasan Mahmud, also a former minister, said this while addressing a press conference at the party president Sheikh Hasina's Dhanmondi political office in the city.
The press conference was convened to protest the remarks of BNP acting secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir on Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's ICT adviser Sajeed Wazed Joy.  Dr Hasan Mahmud said, "BNP leaders have been hurt because Joy told the harsh truth. In fact, Zia had worked as a Pakistan spy in disguise of a freedom fighter."
About BNP's allegation that Joy gets $2 lakh remuneration as the Prime Minister's ICT adviser, the Awami league leader said he has been serving as PM's ICT adviser without any honorarium.  Awami League leaders Abdus Sobhan Golap and Sujit Roy Nandi were, among others, present.
