Hasan visits Bangladesh Bhaban in Santiniketan

Information and Broadcasting Minister Dr Hasan Mahmud, who is now in Kolkata to inaugurate the 5th Bangladesh Film Festival, visited 'Bangladesh Bhaban' at Visva-Bharati University in Santiniketan of West Bengal on Wednesday, reports BSS.
Visva-Bharati University Registrar Ashok Kumar Mahato welcomed the minister and her wife Nuran Fatema. The information minister handed over a 'boat memorial' to the registrar, said a release received in Dhaka.
Later, Dr Hasan visited the library of the university and exchanged views with teachers and students.
First secretary (press) at the Bangladesh Deputy High Commission to Kolkata Ranjan Sen was present there.
The information minister along with School and Higher Education Minister of the West Bengal government Bratya Basu will inaugurate the 5th Bangladesh Film Festival at Nandan Film Center today (Thursday).
Besides, Bangladeshi actors Ferdous, Mamunuzzaman and Goutam Shaha, actress Purnima, Aruna Biswas, Nusrat Faria and Apu Biswas, among others, also will join the inaugural function.
Twenty four Bangladeshi cinemas will be screened at Nandan 1 and 2 halls.
Dr Hasan, also Awami League joint general secretary, will exchange views with journalists at 'Meet the Press' to be organised by Kolkata Press Club this (Thursday) morning. He will also exchange views with the civil society the same day.
