Hasina flies to China Friday

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will leave in city for China Friday on a six-day official visit during which both the countries are expected to complete negotiations on the construction of a deep seaport at Sonadia in Cox’s Bazar.
During the visit, the Prime Minister would hold official talks with Chinese Premier Li Keqiang and meet Chinese President Xi Jinping, said a Foreign Ministry media release Tuesday, according to a news agency.
She will also meet Chairman of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) Yu Zhengsheng and have a meeting with Vice-Premier of China Wang Yang.
The Prime Minister will address the Bangladesh-China Economic and Trade Cooperation Forum hosted by the China Council for Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) to promote investment and trade between Bangladesh and China.
On her way to Beijing, Hasina is expected to inaugurate the second China South Asia Exposition in Kunming as a special guest Friday at the invitation of the Governor of Yunnan Province Li Jiheng.
She will also address a gathering of China-South Asia Business Forum in Kunming Saturday.
