Hasina greets wounded war heroes, sends gifts

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Monday greeted the war-wounded freedom fighters (FF) and their families through sending flowers, fruits and sweets to them at Muktijoddha Tower-1, Gaznavi Road in the city’s Mohammadpur area on the occasion of Holy Eid-ul-Azha. PM’s assistant personal secretary Md Jahangir Alam, assistant personal secretary Saifuzzaman Shekhar and assistant press secretary Noorelahi Mina, on behalf of Sheikh Hasina, took the gifts to the war-wounded FFs rest house at the multistory Muktijoddha Tower. The PM also enquired about the wellbeing of the war heroes and their families. The wounded FFs expressed their gratitude to the PM for her noble gesture saying that she sends such gifts to them at different national days, including Independence Day and Eid-ul-Fitr and Eid-ul-Azha, according to a news agency.
