Hasina hails Bangladesh archers

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Thursday extended her heartiest congratulations to Bangladesh archery team for winning the gold and bronze medals in the 5th Commonwealth Youth Games being held in Samoa. In the boys group, Bangladesh's Mohammad Tamimul Islam clinched the gold medal by beating the Indian competitor, while Nandini Khan Swapna bagged bronze medal by defeating the Malaysian competitor in the girls group. In a congratulatory message, the Prime Minister greeted all concerned along with the Bangladesh archery team. Sheikh Hasina hoped that Bangladesh archery team would continue their winning spree in such an international meet. "I hope they would uphold Bangladesh's red-green flag in the world sports," she said, according to BSS.
