Hasina heads for Habiganj

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has left Dhaka for Habiganj on a daylong tour on Saturday morning. She will inaugurate and lay the foundation stones of a number of development projects in the north-eastern district, including ones in power and energy sector. From the Bibiyana Gas Field, the Prime Minister will inaugurate Bibiyana Gas Expansion Project, Bibiyana-Dhonua 36-inch high-pressured gas transmission line. She will also lay the foundation stone of Bibiyana South 400 MW combined cycle power plant construction project, Bibiyana Power Plant-03 (North 400 MW), Bijnai Bridge (Rosulpur-Roisganj-Paniunda Road including 90.1-metre RCC Girder Bridge and Nabiganj Upazila Muktijoddha Complex building. She will also attend a views-exchange programme there. Later, the Prime Minister will address a public rally at Habiganj New Field, organised by the local unit of Awami League. From the rally venue, Hasina will inaugurate the Habiganj Modern Stadium, Habiganj Diabetic Hospital, Habiganj Nursing Institute, Habiganj new district council auditorium and community centre, Habiganj district fine arts academic building, Habiganj server station, Aleya Zahir College, district commandant, Ansar and VDP office building, Baniachang Fire Service and Civil Defense Station, Shayestaganj Fire Service and Civil Defense Station and development programme of Habiganj central Eidgah. The Prime Minister will also lay the foundation stone of Ajmiriganj Upazila Muktijoddha complex building and Shahjibazar (300 MW) combined cycle power plant, according to a news agency.
