Hasina, Khaleda to visit Sylhet before start of polls campaigns

Awami League President Sheikh Hasina and BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia will visit the mazars of Hazrat Shah Jalal (R) and Hazrat Shah Paran (R) in the holy city of Sylhet on December 11 (Thursday) and December 12 (Friday) respectively. After returning from the shrines of the Muslim saints, the former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will unveil her party's election manifesto and launch election campaign on December 12 at Hotel Sheraton in the capital. On the other hand, another former Prime Minister Khaleda Zia will launch her election campaign from Sylhet after offering Fateha at the shrines of two Muslim saints. She will go to Sylhet by road and on her way back to Dhaka she is likely to address election rallies at Habiganj, Brahmanbaria and Narsingdi. — UNB
