Monday, 21 December 2009

COPENHAGEN (UNB): Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina left for home Sunday afternoon after attending the UN-sponsored global climate-change conference in the Danish capital.
She is likely to reach Dhaka this (Monday) afternoon by a flight of the Emirates airlines.
Hasina left Dhaka for Copenhagen on December 14.
The Prime Minister delivered her speech at the conference on December 16, where she made a strong plea that Bangladesh and other most vulnerable countries “must be provided with compensatory grants and easily accessible adequate funds to meet the full cost of adaptation to climate change”.
