Hasina likely to mediate Ctg AL disputes

CHITTAGONG, Feb 25 (bdnews24.com): Prime Minister and Awami League (AL) chief Sheikh Hasina will play a referee between the warring factions of Chittagong AL Saturday. The Prime Minister, who is scheduled to attend a programme at the Marine Academy in Chittagong on the day, will sit with the local AL leaders at circuit house around 2:30pm. AL leaders of Chittagong North, South and city unit, will attend the meeting. A dispute between the Chittagong city unit's president Mohiuddin Chowdhury and vice-president Nurul Islam BSc, MP, arose on the eve of the last parliamentary election. Later, Nurul Islam and other members of the unit organised a 'blockade' against Mohiuddin and unit's general secretary Danu.
