Hasina meets Rajapaksa, Nashid, Gilani

PERTH, Oct 28 (UNB): Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has called for more concerted efforts by the South Asian nations to root out poverty from the region. The Prime Minister made the call when she had separate meetings with Sri Lankan President Mahinda Rajapaksa, Maldives President Mohamed Nashid and Prime Minister of Pakistan Yusuf Raja Gilani at the Board Room of Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre (PCEC) Friday noon. Hasina and the South Asian leaders discussed a wide range of issues of development, said PM's Press Secretary Abul Kalam Azad. The Prime Minister vowed to continue her fight for protecting civilization from the risks of climate change and establishing women rights in every sphere of life.
