Sunday, 6 September 2009

GENEVA, Sept 5 (UNB): Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina called upon the expatriate Bangladeshis to extend their wholehearted support to her government in building a modern digital Bangladesh by 2021 through salvaging the country from what she said the ruins left over by past rulers.
She made the call at a reception accorded to her by All European Awami League (AL) with its president Anil Das Gupta in the chair in the ballroom of Grand Hotel Kempinski Friday evening.
In presence of several hundred expatriates who had gathered from all over Europe, Hasina said that the present government had taken charge of a country ruined by the rulers of last seven years.
"After a long time, people have elected their own government. I am confident that we will be able to change the fate of the country's people, because we have honesty and sincerity. Our government needs your help in implementing its roadmap for turning the present Bangladesh into a developed and prosperous one," she told the Bangladeshis abroad.
