Former premier and Bangladesh Awami League president Sheikh Hasina returns home at the start of next month, her special assistant Hassan Mahmud said Thursday, reports bdnews24.com.
"Hasina will home in the first week of November," Mahmud told the news agency on his return from London.
The AL chief had an appointment with doctors on October 17, but it had been postponed to October 29, he said.
The special assistant said Hasina would also attend an important meeting with top officials of the US State Department at the end of October.
The former prime minister is set to meet Commonwealth secretary general Kamalesh Sharma in London at the beginning of November, Mahmud added.
Hasina is currently staying with her daughter in Canada, he said.
Mahmud went to London on October 9 and met the AL chief there. He also accompanied Hasina to Brussels and Toronto.
A special government order released Sheikh Hasina on June 11, after a year in special jail. She flew to the US the following day to receive medical treatment.
