Hasina urges UK govt to set up lab for energy solution

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has called upon the UK government to set up an international-standard testing laboratory in Bangladesh for energy solution. The Prime Minister made the request when UK Minister of State for International Development Desmond Swayne called on her at the Walworth Academy in London on the sidelines of the first-ever Girl Summit. After the meeting, PM’s Press secretary AKM Shameem Chowdhury briefed reporters. He said the British state minister highly appreciated Bangladesh’s continued success in achieving the MDGs. Desmond Swayne also made a pledge to continue the DFID’s assistance in the development of women and child education as well as removing poverty, according to BSS.
