Hasina visits Textiles Ministry

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina visited the Secretariat on Sunday morning. She arrived at the Secretariat around 11:00am. During her stay at the Secretariat, the Prime Minister paid a visit to the Ministry of Textiles and Jute. Sources at the Textiles and Jute Ministry said, the Prime Minister visited the ministry today to inspect various works and give direction. The PM talked about the role of jute, once called the golden fibre of Bangladesh, in the country’s economy, society and culture. The Prime Minister was also scheduled to go to Bangabhaban from the Secretariat and meet the President, a highly placed source at the Bangabhaban and the PMO said, according to a news agency.
