Sunday, 16 March 2008

Condition of ailing Awami League president and ex-PM Sheikh Hasina is stable but it takes another week to complete her medical checkup at the Square Hospital, its officials said. Director (Hospital Services) of the Square Hospital Dr Sanwar told reporters Saturday that five more physicians were inducted in the 7-member medical board for her treatment. However, he avoided reply about the necessity of Hasina's ear treatment abroad. "Her health condition is stable, blood pressure is normal, allergy also is improving. She is under intensive care of doctors," he said. The detained former Prime Minister was admitted to the Square Hospital on March 11 with multiple health complications, including acute problem with her ears. —UNB
