Hats off to 4G Service
Tuesday, 20 February 2018
THE Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Authority (BTRC) has recently accorded approval to a long-awaited 4G (Fourth Generation) service and the initiative for launching the service was grabbed by all the mobile operators right away. A 4G is the fourth generation broadband cellular network based technology that succeeded 3G. 4G provides advanced technology service like mobile web access, IP technology, gaming service, hi-fi mobile TV, video conferencing, 3D television etc.
Four mobile operators Grameen Phone, Banglalink, Robi and Teletalk have been in the market for over two decades now, but the customers, particularly those in remote rural areas and mass populated areas are not quite happy with their network. Call drop is very frequent and at times extremely disgusting at crucial moments when we have something urgent to communicate. With 4G added the standard of service will definitely improve now as it is expected to cover the faults of 3G. Advanced technology is always welcome as a mark of progress and we do believe that 4G will fulfill the dreams of the next generation. Hats off to BTRC for launching 4G service aimed at better customer care.
