HC asks ACC to probe charges against Ramna OC

The High Court (HC) on Sunday directed the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) to investigate within three months the allegations against Ramna Police Station's Officer-in-Charge (OC) Monirul Islam of amassing a huge amount of wealth, reports BSS.
A High Court Division Bench comprising Justice Md Nazrul Islam Talukder and Justice Khizir Hayat issued the order.
The ACC told the court that it has decided to investigate the colossal possessions Monirul acquired despite working as a 9th grade official of the state.
Supreme Court lawyer Barrister Syed Sayedul Haque Sumon brought to the attention of the High Court regarding the matter.
