HC bans arrest of 3 BNP leaders

The High Court has ordered a ban on arrest and harassment of BNP leaders Sadek Hossain Khoka, Ruhul Kabir Rizvi and Golam Akbar Khandaker in any fresh case.
Justice Salma Masud Chowdhury and Justice Md Habibul Gani gave the order after hearing three writ petitions Monday.
Lawyers Joynul Abedin, Mahbub Uddin Khokon represented the petitioners. They were assisted by Barrister Ragib Rouf Chowdhury and Sagir Hossain Leon.
Deputy Attorney General Md Mokhlesur Rahman represented the state.
Speaking to bdnews24.com, Rahman said the three BNP leaders should not be arrested or harassed in any new case filed against them in keeping with the High Court's order.
