HC circuit bench in Ctg under consideration: CJ

Chief Justice of Bangladesh Supreme Court SK Singha on Wednesday said setting up of a circuit bench of the High Court (HC) in the second largest city of Chittagong is being considered.
"Provision for setting up of the circuit bench of High Court is enshrined in the Constitution and I have already talked to the government in this regard and the rest procedures will be completed after discussion with the justices of the Supreme Court" the chief justice said while addressing as chief guest at Chittagong District Bar Association (CDBA) auditorium after visiting activities of Chittagong court in the afternoon. The CDBA organised the function held at Ainjibi Auditorium of Chittagong Court, according to a news agency.
