HC drops bail pleas of Abbas in graft case

The High Court (HC) Tuesday dropped from its cause list the bail petition of BNP leader Mirza Abbas in a corruption case filed by the Anti Corruption Commission (ACC), reports UNB.
An HC bench comprising Justice Moinul Islam Chowdhury and Justice JBMHassan passed the order after the BNP leader's counsels sought time  for the third time.
On April 13, Mirza Abbas surrendered before an HC bench seeking anticipatory bail in three cases. However, the bench dropped the bail petition in the ACC case from the cause list asking him to file the pleas with designated bench.
