HC extends stay order in Khaleda’s coalmine case

The High Court (HC) extended on Thursday its stay order by six months on the proceedings of the Barapukuria coalmine corruption case filed against BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia, reports UNB.
A new HC bench comprising Justice M Nuruzzaman and Justice M Jafar Ahmed passed the order after a hearing on a petition filed by Khaleda' s lawyers Barrister Mahbub Uddin Khokon and Barrister Ehsanur Rahman.
The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) filed the Barapukuria coalmine graft case against Khaleda Zia in 2008.
