HC for taking legal action against Gulshan Lake encroachers

The High Court (HC) on Monday asked the authorities concerned to take legal action in a week against the people responsible for encroachment of the Gulshan Lake and also for filling it with earth.
A division bench of the HC comprising Justice Justice Zinat Ara and Justice JN Deb Choudhury passed the order upon a writ petition, a BSS report said.
The court asked the Environment Secretary, RAJUK authority and Commissioner of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) to execute its order.
Human Rights and Peace for Bangladesh filed the petition seeking necessary instruction for protection of the lake from encroachment.
Petitioner's lawyer Manzill Murshid moved on behalf of the petitioner.
