HC gets four more addl judges

Four more additional judges have been appointed to the High Court (HC) Division of the Supreme Court for two years, reports UNB. The newly appointed judges are advocates AKM Shahidul Huq and Abu Taher Mohammad Saifur Rahman, Law and Justice Secretary Shahidul Karim and Dhaka District and Sessions Judge M Jahangir Hossain. The President made the appointments in exercise of his power under Article 98 of the Constitution, said an official announcement on Wednesday. Earlier, on October 4, the President appointed six additional judges to the HC from among the practising lawyers.
