HC gives Rana bail

Soheil Rana, owner of Savar’s collapsed factory building Rana Plaza, was granted a six-month bail in a case accusing him of flouting building rules. Bench of Justices Md Rezaul Hasan and Muhammad Khurshid Alam Sarkar granted him bail on Sunday. More than a thousand garment factory workers were perished under the rubble when Rana Plaza crumbled on April 24, 2013. “The court granted Rana a six-month bail in the case filed by RAJUK. It denied his other bail plea in another case filed by police,” Deputy Attorney General Md Selim told bdnews24.com.
