HC grants ad interim bail to Lalu, Shahjahan

The High Court (HC) Division Thursday granted three months' ad interim bail to BNP leader and former lawmaker Helaluzzman Talukder Lalu and Jamaat-e-Islami leader and former lawmaker Shahjahan Chowdhury, who were awarded 10 years' imprisonment by the special courts, reports BSS.
Lalu was sentenced for evading tax while Chowdhury was jailed for amassing wealth beyond his known sources of income.
A two-member bench comprising Justice Syed Mohammad Dastagir Hossain and Justice Md Azizul Haque issued the orders of bail to Lalu and Chowdhury.
The National Board of Revenue (NBR) filed the case against them.
