HC grants bail to Dr Mosharraf

The High Court (HC) on Wednesday granted bail to detained senior BNP leader Dr Khandaker Mosharraf Hossain in a money-laundering case on three conditions. An HC bench comprising Justice Md Rezaul Haque and Justice Gobinda Chandra Tagore passed the order after the final hearing of a rule issued earlier. According to the conditions, Mosharraf, a member of BNP Standing Committee, the highest policy-making body of the party, has to submit his passport to the court concerned, and he cannot go abroad and maintain communication with the financial institutions through which he allegedly siphoned off money, according to a news agency.
