HC grants bail to Hannan Shah in two cases

The High Court (HC) granted Monday ad-interim bail to BNP leader, ASM Hannan Shah, in two cases, reports bdnews24.com.
Police arrested Hannan Shah and his son Shah Rezaul Hannan from their Mohakhali DOHS home on May 14 last.
An HC Vacation Bench of Justice Abdul Quddus and Justice Mohammad Abdul Awal granted the bail following appeals from Hannan Shah, an adviser to BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia.
A bus owner, Noman, filed a Tk 0.10 million-extortion case against Hannan with Kapashia police station on May 19.
The other case was filed on May 20 by one Haripada Brahmin with the same police station for allegedly grabbing a water body.
Rafiqul Haque moved the bail petitions while Deputy Attorney General Abdur Rouf Mia stood against it.
