The High Court (HC) Sunday granted three months' interim bail to former state minister for Education ANM Ehsanul Huq Milon in connection with two extortion cases, reports UNB.
Passing the interim orders, an HC division bench headed by Justice Siddiqur Rahman Miah also issued rule asking the government to explain why the accused-petitioner should not be granted regular bail in the cases.
On August 30 this year, Harun-or Rashid and Abdullah Al Mamun filed two separate extortion cases against Milon with the Kachua Police Station of Chandpur.
