The High Court (HC) on Sunday granted bail for three months to three top BNP leaders -- Barrister Moudud Ahmed, MK Anwar and Barrister Rafiqul Islam Miah -- in a criminal case filed with Motijheel Police Station. After hearing the petitions, an HC division bench comprising Justice M Enayetur Rahim and Justice Mohammad Ullah passed the order. The three leaders while in custody were shown arrested in connection with the case under the Explosive Substance Act in May last year. The counsel for the three accused, Barrister Ehsanur Rahman said his clients might be released from jail as there is no further case against them, according to a news agency.
