HC issues contempt rule on Jamuna Builders MD

The High Court (HC) Monday, upon a Rajuk petition, issued a contempt of court rule upon M Shamim Islam, managing director of Jamuna Builders Ltd., to explain in 10 days why proceedings should not be drawn against him for "misquoting and distorting the HC orders."
Passing the contempt rule, a division bench comprising Justice AHM Shamsuddin Chowdhury and Justice Borhan Uddin asked the contemner, Shamim Islam, to appear in person before the court on February 22 for giving his explanations as asked for, reports UNB.
The HC orders came following a petition filed by Nurul Huda, chairman of Rajdhani Unnayan Kartripakkha (Rajuk).
