Thursday, 17 April 2014

The High Court (HC) will deliver its order on Sunday on a revision petition filed by BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia seeking to quash the trial court indictment orders against her in the Zia Charitable Trust and Zia Orphanage Trust graft cases. An HC bench comprising Justice Borhanuddin and Justice KM Kamrul Kader fixed the date after hearing the pleas for the second day on Thursday. Meanwhile, the court will hear the defence lawyers on Sunday for some time before pronouncing the order. Former Attorney General AJ Mohammad Ali and Barrister Moudud Ahmed stood for the BNP chief while Attorney General Mahbubey Alam represented the state, according to a news agency.
