HC orders not to harass BNP leaders

The High Court (HC) on Sunday asked the police to further refrain from harassing five top BNP leaders, including Barrister Moudud Ahmed, MK Anwar and Barrister Rafiqul Islam Miah, without due process of law. The two other leaders are BNP chairperson’s special assistant Shamsur Rahman Shimul Biswas and Sardar Sakhawat Hossain Bakul. After analogous hearing on the writ petitions filed separately, an HC division bench comprising Justice Salma Masud Chowdhury and Justice M Habibul Gani passed the orders, according to a news agency.
