HC rejects bail pleas of Barrister Fakhrul

The High Court (HC) on Thursday rejected the bail petition of Barrister AKM Fakhrul Islam, a lawyer of war crimes convict Salauddin Quader Chowdhury arrested in connection with the leakage of the draft verdict. An HC bench comprising Justice Md Rezaul Haque and Justice Gobinda Chandra Tagore came up with the order after the final hearing of a rule issued earlier. The court, however, asked police to submit the probe report to the trial court as soon as possible, according to a news agency.
