The High Court has declared illegal the need for HSC students to separately clear objective, creative and practical in order to pass three science courses.
The bench of Justice Quazi Reza-Ul Hoque and Justice ABM Altaf Hossain issued the order on Jan 29 after the final hearing on a writ petition filed by a student.
The full verdict was published Wednesday declaring illegal the need for passing three tests of physics, biology and chemistry courses of the Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) examinations. Tasnim Raisa filed the petition, according to a news agency.
Shah Mohammad Ahsanur Rahman, lawyer for the petitioner, said Raisa took HSC tests from science stream in 2013.
“We challenged the provision of separately passing three science courses. The court has issued the verdict granting our appeal,” Rahman said.
