HC stays case proceedings against 4 bloggers

The High Court stayed for three months the proceedings of two cases filed against four bloggers under the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Act Sunday.
The HC bench comprising Justice M Enayetur Rahim and Justice Mohammad Ullah also issued a rule upon the government to explain as to why the case proceedings should not be declared cancelled.
The stay order and the rule came following petitions filed by the bloggers.
The bloggers are--- Asif Mohiuddin, Mashiur Rahman Biplab, Russell Parvez and Subrata Shuvo.
Detective Branch of police arrested the four bloggers for posting “derogatory write-ups about Islam and Prophet Muhammad (pbuh)” on the Internet.
Of them, Asif was arrested on April 3 while the rest on April 2, according to a news agency
