The High Court (HC) on Wednesday ordered to maintain status quo on the police drive for two weeks against the use of tinted glass in vehicles. An HC bench comprising Justice Mirza Hussain Haider and Mohamamd Khurshid Alam passed the order following a writ petition. As per the HC order, those who wanted to use black glasses in their vehicles can submit a written application to the Bangladesh Road Transport Authority (BRTA) mentioning the necessity of such use, which will be disposed of by the authorities concerned within a week. Besides, the HC also issued a rule asking why the government ban on the use of tinted glass would not be declared illegal, according to a news agency.
