HC summons election commissioner

The High Court (HC) has summoned an election commissioner to appear before it on contempt charges, reports bdnews24.com.
The court on Tuesday also asked Sohul Hossain to appear on Oct 7 and explain why punitive actions would not be taken against him for defaming the court.
The bench of justices A H M Shamsuddin Chowdhury and Sheikh Mohammad Zakir Hossain gave the order following a case filed earlier on the day by Mahiuddin Khan Alamgir MP, presidium member of the ruling Awami League.
