Sunday, 2 February 2014

Syeda Iqbal Mand Banu, the mother-in-law of BNP senior vice-chairman Tarique Rahman,  filed a writ petition with the High Court seeking suspension of the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) case she faces over her wealth.
On the same day, the petitioner also filed a supplementary plea seeking more time to submit her wealth statement to the ACC.
Both the petitions will come up for hearing Monday, said her counsel Barrister Nasir Uddin Asim.
On January 30, the state graft body filed a case against Syeda Iqbal Mand Banu on graft charges, according to a news agency.
