Health Policy finalised, awaits approval

Wednesday, 8 December 2010

The National Health Policy has been finalised and is expected to be submitted in parliament for approval by January, 2011, reports bdnews24.com.
Prime Minister's Health Adviser Dr Syed Modasser Ali disclosed this Tuesday, while talking to newsmen after attending an international scientists' conference at the city's Mirpur Kidney Foundation Hospital and Research Institute.
When asked about the reason behind the policy being so long-drawn-out, Mr Ali said, there had been disagreements whether an issue of such major importance would be placed at parliament. However, it was later decided that the policy would be passed in parliament, he added.
