Hearing on Fakhrul's bail plea in nine cases Jan 9

A Dhaka court on Sunday set January 9, 2024, for pronouncing judgement in nine cases filed with capital's Ramna and Paltan Model Police Stations against BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, reports BSS.
Confirming the matter to the agency, Fakhrul's counsel Syed Joynul Abedin Mesbah said Dhaka Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Rezaul Karim Chowdhury fixed the date on Sunday.
A total of 11 cases were filed against Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir following untoward incidents marking BNP's grand rally on October 28, 2023. Of the 11 cases, eight were filed with Paltan Model Police Station and three were filed with Ramna Model Police Station.
