Heatwave likely to abate

Rain/thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty/squally wind is likely to occur at a few places over Sylhet division and at one or two places over Chattogram division with hails at isolated places until 06:00 pm today (Wednesday), according to the Met office.
Weather may remain mainly dry with temporary partly cloudy sky elsewhere over the country.
The prevailing heat wave is likely to abate from some places.
Day temperature may fall slightly over the country. Night temperature may rise slightly over eastern part and it may remain nearly unchanged elsewhere over the country. Due to increase of moisture incursion, the discomfort may persist.
The highest temperature in the country on Tuesday was recorded at 43.8 degrees Celsius in Jashore while the lowest temperature 22 degrees Celsius in Dinajpur.
The highest temperature in the city was recorded at 38.6 degrees Celsius and the lowest was 28.9 degrees.
