Heavy rainfall likely in 4 divisions

Under the influence of active monsoon over the country's southern and north-eastern parts, "heavy to very heavy" rainfall is likely in the next 24-hours from 2 pm Saturday. A Met Office forecast in this respect said, such downpour could occur "at one or two places" over Khulna, Barishal, Chittagong and Sylhet divisions during the period. The warning came in the wake of several recent spells of thunder-showers. —UNB
