Heinous attack in Turkey condemned

Prime Minister (PM) Sheikh Hasina strongly condemned the cowardly and heinous terrorist attack in Turkey that claimed the lives of 31 Turkish people and injured over 100, reports UNB.
"We strongly condemn the cowardly and heinous terrorist attack," she said in a condolence message to her Turkish counterpart Prof Dr Ahmet Davutolu.
The PM said it is a matter of deep sorrow and great concern that 31 Turkish people were killed and more than 100 were injured in a suicide bomb attack at a cultural centre in Suruc, district of Sunliurfa on Monday.
"I express my deepest condolences and heartfelt sympathies to you and through you to the bereaved family members of the victims as well as all the Turkish brethren for this sad incident," said Hasina.
She reiterated that Bangladesh denounces terrorism in all its forms and manifestations and her government has been pursuing "zero tolerance" policy towards terrorism.
"We reaffirm our government's commitment to work together with the Republic of Turkey and the world community to fight this menace," Hasina said in her message adding that the people of Bangladesh join her in expressing their solidarity in Turkey's fight against terrorism in the country and beyond.
