Hi-tech park bill placed in JS

Chairman of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Post, Telecommunication and Information and Communication Technology Ministry Imran Ahmad placed the "Bangladesh Hi-Tech Park Authority (Amendment) Bill 2014" in the House Wednesday in an amended form with recommendations after scrutinisation.
The bill was placed to include Information and Communication Technology Ministry instead of Science and Technology Ministry, as it was passed in 2010 under the Ministry of Science and Information Communication.
Later, the government separated Information and Communication Technology Ministry from Science and Technology Ministry for strengthening the activities of building Digital Bangladesh and taking quick decisions in principle.
Earlier, Information and Communication Technology State Minister Junaid Ahmed Palak on behalf of Post, Telecommunication and Information and Communication Technology Minister Abdul Latif Siddique placed the bill in the Jatiya Sangsad.
