High Court extends status quo of CMCCI activities

CHITTAGONG, Apr 23: The High Court Division of the Supreme Court comprising Justice Syed Mahmud Hasan and Justice Kamrul Islam Siddiqui ordered for extending status quo of all activities of the proposed Chittagong Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CMCCI) till disposal of verdict of concerned dispute.
Earlier, in view of the writ-petition filed by Chittagong Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCCI) President MA Latif, MP, the High Court had granted status quo on all activities of the proposed CMCCI under its order passed on March 9, 2009 and also asked the Registrar of Joint Stock Company to postpone the relevant registration process.
