Thursday, 21 May 2015

State-owned Power Grid Company of Bangladesh (PGCB) has undertaken a move to build another 400 kv high voltage transmission line in the country. The double-circuit 70-km long new transmission line will be installed from Ashuganj of Brahmanbaria to Bhulta of Narayanganj. About Tk 2.8 billion (280 crore) has been estimated as the cost of the project. At present, only a few such high voltage transmission lines are in operation.     — UNB
